Smoke Alarm Alarmed

Smoke detector or also know as smoke alarm for household is a device that detects smoke, typically as an indicator of fire. Okay here is the story why I ended up taking pictures of our smoke alarm up in the ceiling.
I was at the kitchen trying to be supermom feeding Justine and Jake both at the same time while cooking. Yes, I was also trying to cook food for myself. I put the wok on the stove, turn the stove high and then left to feed the kids. Then, I got up went to the fridge to get some egg, and also had the dried fish ready. I totally forgot that I had something on the stove. It was start creating smoke when I notice it, and stupid part of me instead of get it out of the stove I poured something on it like a little oil. It did make any fire at all but the smoke was all over the place that made this smoke alarm went off. It alarm for for a while and I had to turn everything off and go to the hall way and fan the smoke off from the smoke detector. I did that for seconds until it stop making some noise. I'm glad no one came in when the alarm went off, that would be so embarrassing. I learned a lesson from that though, never cook while you are busy with something else. Do your job one at a time.

Smoke detectors are one of those amazing inventions that, because of mass production, cost practically nothing and save thousands of lives each year as well. All smoke detectors consist of two basic parts: a sensor to sense the smoke and a very loud electronic horn to wake people up. Smoke detectors can run off of a 9-volt battery or 120-volt house current. It is recommended that every home have one smoke detector per floor. Learn how this stuff works @
