TCP - Road Films

It's another week come and another week of Tuesday Couch Potatoes where you posted movies you like, whether you've seen it already or not that fits to the theme each week provided by the hostess Kikamz. So, this week theme is about Road Films. Thanks to the host for providing a link that showcase all road films or movies on the road. It makes it easy to figure out what I want to post for this week. My pick would be Little Miss Sunshine. I have seen this movie on TV many times and I enjoyed watching it. The story in the movie is actually have similarity in this reality show toddlers and tiara. The parent will dress and put make up on their kids to make it look like a doll and they compete with other kids. Anyhow, here is the review for the movie Little Miss Sunshine that I got from this link.

Little Miss Sunshine (2006)
Directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris.
Cast: Abigail Breslin, Greg Kinnear, Paul Dano, Alan Arkin, Toni Collette, Steve Carell, Bryan Cranston.

Synopsis:
Olive is a little girl who dreams of winning the Little Miss Sunshine contest. Her family wants her dream to come true, but they are so dysfunctional that they can barely make it through a day without some disaster befalling them. Olive's father, Richard, is unsuccessful as a motivational speaker. He is barely on speaking terms with Olive's mother. Her uncle Frank has attempted suicide following an unsuccessful romance with a male graduate student. Her brother Dwayne, a fanatical follower of Nietzsche, has taken a vow of silence. And Olive's grandfather is a loser with a drug habit, but at least he enthusiastically coaches Olive in her contest talent routine. Circumstances conspire to put the entire family on the road together with the goal of getting Olive to the Little Miss Sunshine contest in California.
