A Vacation Home in San Diego

Wouldn't it be nice to have a place to go to get away from the cold in the winter? Or maybe, a retirement home where you could split time for part of the year? This probably sounds like a pipe dream to most people but because of the decline in the real estate market it is more obtainable than ever before.

First, you have to find a spot that you will never grow tired of visiting. For me, that is San Diego. It features an abundance of sunshine, mild temperatures year round, gorgeous beaches, and breathtaking mountains. The city is also large enough to offer the culture and sports that come with a true urban experience.

Property in San Diego is more affordable than ever before and has many people thinking about buying a house there to spend a few months per year and then renting it out the rest of the time. The income from renting the home could cover the cost of the mortgage payments on the property and virtually pay for itself. The key is to find a good San Diego property management company which will market the place for you and keep it filled when you are not using it.

One of the most popular spots in San Diego is Mission Beach which has a number of homes and condos for sale. The big attractions like SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo are nearby so it makes for the perfect spot for a family on vacation. Belmont Park is also a short walk away which will be another selling point to market your property to would be renters. Depending on the time of the year, a two bedroom condo at Mission Beach will rent for as much as $4000 per month.
