Venango Regional Airport

Franklin has a nice bike trail and creek in which you can have a picnic after the bike ride.

Venango Regional Airport also known as Chess Lamberton Field, is a public airport in western Pennsylvania. It is located in Venango County which is few miles from Franklin. Last summer we happened to dropped by the place as we were looking for place to have dinner. We stopped by at the district area in Franklin but unfortunately, most restaurant during that day were closed. So, drove and headed to this part of the place the Venango Regional Airport. The airport is not that big. At first i even thought it was just a private airport and then i saw passengers getting into that plane and saw the plane take off.

According from the information I read in Wikipedia:

As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 3,066 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2004 and 2,939 in 2005. In the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (2007-2011) it was a categorized as a commercial service airport, which requires at least 2,500 passenger boardings per year. However, enplanements for 2006 declined to 1,978 which caused it to be categorized as a general aviation airport.
