Play time and Boo-boo

It was a beautiful day last Thursday so we decided to take the kids for a few minutes to the playground. Not much kids were there and J&J likes it when there is less kids playing around.

Jake was running around like some kind of a dog that just got out from the cage. So, this is what happened when you don't listen and follow. He got a boo-boo.

The little Miss also was very stubborn. She wants to do the dangerous thing in the playground like climbing and stuff. We put her on a little swing for baby and she loved it when you push her so high. Then, she got down from the baby swing and wanted to try the big swing. I let her sat in there for a minute and had her come down from it. She threw a fit because she wants to sit in there, and while she was trying to sit on there, the swing hit her face. She also got a small boo-boo.

Kids don't mind with the boo-boo. They cried but after that they act like nothing happens.

A Day at the Mall

The day was great and warm so we hit the mall.

The choo choo train was placed for easter egg hunt. We weren't able to go to the mall on Sunday because everybody were taking a nap. But after the ride, Jake and Justine a got candy as prize. I'm thinking it was a left over goodies from Easter egg hunt.
They also enjoyed the rides inside the mall. I spent almost $5 for just the rides. The little man in that Robot ride won't stop spreading his palm asking for money.
Then, we stopped by in the playground to have more playtime until the little man started to get rough on other kids. They played for a long while though and when Jake, threw a fit, that was a hint for home.
They had fun at the playground but I did not got the chance to look around and buy something.

Book Promotion: Suplado Tips by Stanley Chi

The humor book Suplado Tips, written by Stanley Chi, takes humor to a new level as it regales readers with witticisms that revolve around one conviction: suplado is the new sexy.

Stanley Chi, a celebrated humorist, is the man behind that notorious idea. Suplado Tips, Chi’s fourth book, is a compilation of smart-alecky tips on how to assert oneself with an air of cockiness. One suplado tip advises, “Kung may nagtampo sayo dahil na-sampolan mo ng supladong hirit, hiritan mo ng, ‘Hindi ko na problema yan!’ (If someone resents you for your snide retort, just say, ‘That’s no longer my problem!’)”

“Many people dream of sticking it to their bosses or giving someone they hate a nasty remark or two, but they often resort to doing none of the above. Filipinos tend to be non-confrontational, avoiding conflicts as much as they can. Suplado Tips is the funny respite that people with a grudge have been looking for,” Chi said.

Suplado Tips has spurred on a series of video testimonials, all of which hailed the book in comical embroidery. Ramon Bautista, a TV celebrity and a host of the former radio show, The Brewrats, gave the first testimonial. “Simula nung tinuruan ako ni Stanley Chi na maging suplado, nawala ang ubo ko (Ever since Stanley Chi taught me how to be stuck-up, my cough disappeared),” Bautista said in the video with pokerfaced wit. Obviously meant as a comical testament, Bautista went on to describe how being suplado has gained him more fans and stalkers, and how it eventually cured his skin problems. (Bautista also stepped up later on to write the book’s foreword.) Since then, many other celebrities have given their own hilarious accounts of how Suplado Tips has helped them, some of which were not entirely fictional.

Suplado Tips, Chi’s newest venture into humor, is now available online through www.psicompublishing.com and may also be purchased from all National Bookstore and Fully Booked outlets nationwide (unless it has already sold out).

For more information on Stanley Chi’s Suplado Tips and to embark on your own journey towards “supladoness”, visit www.stanleychi.net.

A new passion

Over chat the other day, one of my mommy friends from back home mentioned that she wanted to take an additional course, in Cosmetology. I really didn’t know the whole thing behind cosmetology so I asked her more about it. Recently, she’s been addicted to make ups, hair products and even some skin products. I don’t really remember her wearing her make up on most of the time but she said her “appreciation” for it started when one of her other friends kind of gave her a tutorial on how to put them on and what are the best colors or blends to complement her skin type and features.

Since then she has been getting compliments on how different she looked and some of her relatives even wanted her to do makeovers for them. That’s when she thought of looking for cosmetology schools to get a formal diploma and maybe open her own salon soon.

While we were still chatting, I also did some reading about it and told her about the Oregon Board of Cosmetology. I told her that cosmetology wasn’t just about makeovers and beauty products. There are strict guidelines to follow and licenses to be applied for. She said she knew about them and would still like to continue. For her, it’s now her passion to learn about all these things. Good luck my friend and do me a makeover soon when I go back to visit you!

Venango Regional Airport

Franklin has a nice bike trail and creek in which you can have a picnic after the bike ride.

Venango Regional Airport also known as Chess Lamberton Field, is a public airport in western Pennsylvania. It is located in Venango County which is few miles from Franklin. Last summer we happened to dropped by the place as we were looking for place to have dinner. We stopped by at the district area in Franklin but unfortunately, most restaurant during that day were closed. So, drove and headed to this part of the place the Venango Regional Airport. The airport is not that big. At first i even thought it was just a private airport and then i saw passengers getting into that plane and saw the plane take off.

According from the information I read in Wikipedia:

As per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 3,066 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2004 and 2,939 in 2005. In the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (2007-2011) it was a categorized as a commercial service airport, which requires at least 2,500 passenger boardings per year. However, enplanements for 2006 declined to 1,978 which caused it to be categorized as a general aviation airport.

This new house that we plan on buying have two kitchen sink. Finally, I will have bigger place to put the dishes which makes the job easily. Buying a house is expensive and it sure break the pocket. There is no plan of having some renovation to this house for the first year perhaps. There is no plan either to replace it with stainless steel sinks because our kitchen sink still looks good. According to the agent the last people lived there just replace it with stainless steel sink and fix all the broken furniture before they put it on the market. Someday, if we will have house improvement project, we know already where to buy good quality kitchen sinks.
