Visiting Buenos Aires by Travelation

Buenos Aires is the heart and soul of Argentina. It’s a city that’s deeply connected to its roots, yet ever avant-garde and cosmopolitan. Buenos Aires is a fantastic place to experience South American culture and the warmth and passion of its people. European influences and a place on the world’s stage make Argentina not only a great place to experience South American culture, but also a great place to experience art.

If you’re planning a trip to Buenos Aires and are trying to find the best deals, visit Travelation’s online site. One of the best discount travel websites, Travelation is quick and simple to use and is known for offering the best rates on flights, car rentals and hotels.

Making the trip to Buenos Aires is well worth it. The city is beautiful and possesses a wealth of history. Plus, the Argentine culture’s mixture of Spanish, Native American, German and English influences make it unique, rich and fascinating.

Art and Culture: Buenos Aires has a thriving art scene. The city boasts several theaters, including the exquisite Teatro Nacional Cervantes and the Teatro Colon, which is considered one of the world’s best theaters. The city is also home to a number of art museums, including the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, the Museo Nacional de Arte Decorativo, and the Museum of Latin Art of Buenos Air, which is one of the city’s most popular tourist destinations.

Dining and Drinking: When in Argentina, you must participate in at least one parrillada, which is their equivalent of barbecue. This type of meal, which basically consists of grilled meat topped by more grilled meat, is a delicious celebratory staple, not just in Buenos Aires, but in all of Argentina. If you don’t find a friend to invite you to a home parrillada, don’t worry: Restaurants all over the city offer them. Just be warned—heart, brain, intestines and even udders are likely to make an appearance on your plate. Expect to drink wine at this, and at most other meals. Argentina is famous for its wine and, perhaps due to European influence, wine is a staple drink at almost any time of day. You might want to keep in mind that Argentines keep late hours. Dining out can last far into the night, and is often accompanied by dancing.

Dancing: Of all the things Buenos Aires has contributed to the world’s stage, there is nothing so famous as the tango. This seductive and beautiful dance captivates audiences worldwide. There are a wide number of tango shows in Buenos Aires, some of which are dinner theaters. If you’re interested in learning to tango during your stay, you won’t be disappointed. There are numerous classes available for eager students.

Architecture: Buenos Aires is a Mecca for those who love architecture. From the modern eclectic style represented in the Palermo Soho, to the gothic Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar, to the classic Parroquia de San Pedro Gonzalez Telmo, numerous styles and techniques are present in this modern, yet antique city.

If you’re interested in expanding your stay and traveling to other South American cities, be sure to take advantage of Travelation’s highly rated customer service center, staffed by professionals who can answer questions, help plan an itinerary and set you up with the best deals around.

Buenos Aires treats you to a wealth of rich South American culture, from world-famous theater and famous Argentine wine to seductive tango dancing and gothic architecture. To get the most out of your trip, book your trip with Travelation for the best deals and best customer service.
