Simple Candy Gifts

If you're ever looking for an idea for a gift for a holiday, birthday, or another special occasion, then consider a gift basket. A type of gift basket that can be customized for any occasion, any age, and any gender is one made with candy. Gather all of the supplies needed to make candy gift baskets before you begin so that you don't have to leave to get more decorations or other items that you want to use. This is a fun project for kids to help with as well if they want to make a basket for teachers or grandparents.

Begin by selecting the basket that you want for the occasion. An example would be red and green for Christmas. You could also get black and orange for Halloween or red for Valentine's Day. Think about the occasion and the person you're making the basket for when you get the supplies so that it's as personalized as possible.

You can get the candy and decorations to make the basket at most craft stores as well as retail stores that sell bulk candies or any kind of packages that you want to use. The first thing that you want to do is put a floral block at the bottom of the basket that you're going to use. If you want to make a smaller gift, then you can use decorative bags. However, you still need to put a block at the bottom that will hold the craft sticks that have the candy on them. Using floral tape or a hot glue gun, attach each piece of candy to a craft stick. When all of the candies are on a stick, arrange them by sticking them in the block at the bottom of the container so that they look like a bouquet.
