Walgreens Prescription Savings Club to Minimize Inconvenience

The fall out of Walgreens and Express Script negotiations for a new contract signing has caused so much hassle and disruptions to all patients especially to those who have hectic work schedules. And considering that Express Script is the middleman between pharmacies providing health care services for prescription drug refills it can cause cost disruptions on generic drugs. It will also force all the patients to go to other pharmacy for their prescription refills and not to mention having to change pharmacist as well. Imagine driving to a different location for you can’t find a 24-hour and drive-thru pharmacies.
Despite for all of this, Walgreens is taking steps to minimize the inconvenience to its members by offering a special discount on annual membership for its Walgreens Prescription Savings Club so it will lessen the impact that it has caused to all affected patient. At the moment they are having a January promotion for only $5 and $10 a year for an individual and family membership, respectively.
On the brighter side, only those patients with Express Scripts written at the back of their prescription insurance cards are affected by this fiasco. So it would be best to get information and be updated from time to time by liking Walgreens on Facebook and follow Walgreens on Twitter.
