David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Pittsburgh

The David L. Lawrence Convention Center is situated on the banks of the Allegheny River in the heart of downtown Pittsburgha with 1,500,000-square-foot naturally lit and ventilated convention, conference and exhibition space in downtown Pittsburgh in the U.S. commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Pittsburgh David Lawrence Convention Center is also the first "green" convention center and the world's largest LEED-certified 'green' building. This convention was built in honor of David Leo Lawrence who was was an American politician who served as the Democratic Governor of Pennsylvania from 1959 to 1963, only retiring because of the state's then term limit of 1 per governor. There are a number of other parking lots and garages located within a 15-minute walk of the convention center. An attached 700 car parking garage is connected to the convention center via a covered walkway.

We had the opportunity to visit this place for the first time last Saturday during the big even of LEGOKidsFest. It was indeed a big and suitable building for any exhibition. Husband's first visit at that place when he watched a car exhibit.
